DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a full-time experienced DevOps Engineer to join our expanding team in Greenwood Village, CO. This new team member will be part of a DevOps team responsible for setup, deployment, monitoring, supporting, and administering the entire software development stack from development to production environments. Candidates must have strong SQL Server and Windows environment knowledge with experience in supporting cloud, hybrid, and on premise Web applications. The role will be an integral part of our agile development team working in a fast-paced release cycle.


This is a hands-on DevOps role with these duties and responsibilities:

  • Deploy .NET Web Applications
    • Hosted on IIS and SQL Server
  • Deploy SQL Server packages and custom scripts
  • Monitor and tune SQL Server performance
  • Develop and maintain software tools that build, deploy, and automate code management and the software delivery process
  • Facilitate release management efforts with the software development team
  • Support Windows server and SQL infrastructure hosted in Microsoft Azure
  • Support Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Hyper-V, and System Center
  • Support existing Azure subscriptions as well as onboarding new customer subscriptions
  • Evaluate web applications deployed into production making recommendations to improve security, scalability, performance, and availability
  • Build and deliver the technology, automation and processes to create and maintain production-quality solutions
  • Perform security, vulnerability, and risk assessment of web application infrastructure deployed to Microsoft Azure
  • Participate in on-call, production, and application operation and support
  • Collaborate (in both written and oral format) with customers and other team members on ideas, designs, and issues (both technical and non-technical)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft current technology trends
  • Strong desire to work with latest and greatest Microsoft technologies
  • 3+ years of professional experience in managing software systems, hardware, and virtualized technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows server technologies
  • Fundamental networking knowledge
  • Experience in supporting a highly available 24x7x365 production environment
  • Working knowledge and experience in a variety of monitoring tools like Splunk, Solar Winds, Newrelic or similar tools
  • Education
    • Degree and certifications in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field (REQUIRED)

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday with some flexibility on hours. Telecommuting is not possible for this position. There is limited travel anticipated for this position.
